Week 29

Today I had a very busy Doctors appointment! I had my second 1 hour GD test, which wasn't too bad except the Glucola they make you drink tastes like flat McDoanald's orange soda. I also had my finger pricked so they could check my iron. Then, I had to get a shot of RhoGam because my blood type is RH negative. So I got to leave the Dr. with 3 Bugs Bunny band aids :). Jude's heartbeat was perfect and he is a little over 3 pounds now, and approximately 15 inches. It's crazy to think he will grow so much in the next few weeks, it is already quite hard on my back to carry him.

I cannot believe he will be here in about 2 months, it seems like a dream. The closer we are getting the more excited and scared we both are. I am nerves about childbirth, naturally, as it is something I have not experienced before and obviously will be painful. I know the moment I get to hold my child for the first time everything else will disappear and it will all be worth it.

I am taking a breastfeeding class this Friday which I am looking forward to! I know just because I want to BF doesn't mean it will always turn out that way, but I would like to be as knowledgeable as possible ahead of time.

My next appointment is in two weeks and I already look forward to hearing Jude's heartbeat again :)

  1. Yuck, I hate when I have to get my finger pricked. Were your iron levels good?

So cool that Jude is so big already! That's amazing. I'm sorry your back is struggling, though. :(

Good plan taking a bfing class - I'm taking one in August. I hope it goes well for both of us!

  2. They said my iron was great! I was happy about that, has your iron improved?? Have you taken your GD blood test yet?

I'm looking forward to the BF class :)
